Softball New Brunswick is the official governing body of Fastpitch, Orthodox and Slo-pitch in New Brunswick, Canada and its mandate is to promote softball in all areas of the province for the enjoyment of all registered members from playground to podium.
Softball New Brunswick is a not-for-profit Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) based in Fredericton, NB founded in 1926. It is recognized and financially supported by the Government of Canada, Tourism, Heritage and Culture (Sport and Recreation branch). Softball NB is administered by a thirteen Board of Directors and is supported by 2 staff members.
Our organization consists of a board of directors consisting of an executive and technical branch, as well as five (5) regional directors. The executive branch includes elected President, Vice President, Treasurer (non-voting) and salaried Executive Director. The Technical branch includes coordinators for grassroots, high performance, adult, human resources as well as the Umpire-in-Chief.
With funding annually provided by Tourism, Heritage and Culture, membership fees, partnerships and sponsorships; Softball NB develops new programming to target various segments of it’s membership including: Learn to Play Softball, Community Development Program, Umpires Program. etc.
