Who We Are / Qui Sommes Nous


Softball New Brunswick is the official governing body of Fastpitch, Orthodox and Slo-pitch inNB and its mandate is to promote softball in all areas of the province for the enjoyment of all registered members from playground to podium.

Softball New Brunswick is a not-for-profit Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) based in Fredericton, NB founded in 1926. It is recognized and financially supported by the Government of Canada, Tourism, Heritage and Culture (Sport and Recreation branch). SNB is administered by a eighteen-member Board of Directors and is supported by 2 staff members.

Our association consists of an Executive that includes an elected President, Vice President, Treasurer and a salaried Executive Director and Technical Director. The Technical Branch includes Coordinators for minor, adult, coaching and Timbits Softball, as well as the UIC. The SNB Board of Directors includes an executive and technical branch, as well as eight (8) Regional Directors.

With funding annually provided by Tourism, Heritage and Culture, membership fees, partnerships and sponsorships; SNB develops new programming to target various segments of it’s membership including: Timbits Softball (Learn to Play), Community Caravan, Canpitch, Multi-Cultural Association and Special Olympics. 


 

Softball Nouveau-Brunswick est l'organisme directeur officiel de la balle rapide, orthodoxe et balle lente au NB et son mandat est de promouvoir la balle molle dans toutes les régions de la province pour le plaisir de tous les membres inscrits, du terrain de jeu au podium.

Softball Nouveau-Brunswick est un organisme provincial de sport (OPS) à but non lucratif basé à Fredericton, NB fondé en 1926. Il est reconnu et soutenu financièrement par le gouvernement du Canada, Tourisme, Patrimoine et Culture (branche Sports et Loisirs). SNB est administré par un conseil d'administration de dix-huit membres et appuyé par deux employés.

Notre association se compose d'un exécutif qui comprend un président élu, un vice-président, un trésorier et un directrice générale et directrice technique salarié. La branche technique comprend des coordonnateurs pour le softball mineur, adulte, entraîneur et Timbits, ainsi que l'arbitre en chef. Le conseil d'administration de SNB comprend une branche exécutive et technique, ainsi que huit (8) directeurs régionaux.

Avec un financement fourni annuellement par Tourisme, Patrimoine et Culture, les frais d'adhésion, les partenariats et les commandites; SNB développe de nouveaux programmes pour cibler divers segments de ses membres, notamment : Timbits Softball (Apprendre à jouer), Caravane communautaire, Canpitch, Association multiculturelle et Olympiques spéciaux.
