INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION FOR MINOR PLAYERS AND COACHES.

Sign up to be a registered member of Softball New Brunswick today!

Softball New Brunswick has instituted individual registration for minor fastpitch beginning in 2020. This means that each minor player and minor coach must sign up with Softball New Brunswick individually through Sportsengine to be a registered member covered under our insurance policy. Our 2021 fees are outlined:

To sign up as an individual player or coach, follow the steps below:

Create/Login to your SportsEngine account
Complete the Individual Membership Registration Form on SportsEngine by CLICKING HERE (2021 Registration Form Coming Soon)
Once registered with Softball NB, you must complete your registration with your club/association as per usual.
Keep your SNB ‘Order Entry Number’ found on your registration receipt for proof of membership to your club.

A reminder that coaches must have a MINIMUM of Community Sport Ongoing Participation and Safe Sport Training for coach certification before stepping on the field, and coaching at a Provincial Championship. For more information on attaining your coach certification, check out our coaching tab.

What is this fee covering (Individual Membership Benefits) :

· Comprehensive Insurance Coverage for all registered participants including: coaches, players, managers, clinicians, officials, league volunteers, Directors and Operators
· Access to all SNB Policies and Procedures regarding Ethics, Anti-Harassment and Zero Tolerance
· Access to Special Achievement Opportunities: Hall of Fame, Annual Awards, Scholarships
· Management of Provincial Championships Logistics: Schedule creation, booking umpires, administrative duties, etc.
· Access to Timbits Softball (resources) / Community Caravan Program
· Access to the Canpitch Program (introduces and develops the fundamental skills of windmill pitching to Canada’s children and youth.)

What do minor clubs/teams need to do?

All clubs/teams must ensure their players and coaches have registered with SNB as individual members. A team that has unregistered members on it will risk that any insurance claim submitted will be VOID.

It is recommended that clubs/teams allow a spot to input ‘SNB registration ID’ on their own registration forms, OR include a link to the SNB Individual Registration Form at the end of the clubs registration form to make it easier to cross reference.

Clubs/Teams must still register their team rosters, as usual, with Softball NB.

SNB Team Affiliation Fees are broken down as follows:

To register your team with SNB + Upload your Team Roster. You must now only upload player/coach full names and DOB.

Softball NB fully supports and understands our members concerns and decisions to not play this summer due to COVID-19 and its major health/safety risks. For information on COVID-19 membership refunds, please contact our Executive Director at executivedirector@softballnb.ca.

Refunds must be requested (in progress) before Thursday, July 1st, 2021.
