Fredericton Fastpitch Association and Prospect Park are no strangers to hosting big events. Past Canadian Championships include the inaugural U16 Boys Canadian Fastpitch Championship in 2014, two U18 Mens Championships (2012, 2015), U19 Mens Championship (2011).

This tournament will mark the 10-year anniversary of the first Canadian Championship hosted by the Fredericton Fastpitch Association. “Softball Canada is excited to bring another Canadian Championship to Fredericton, NB. The experienced Host Committee, the facility and the strong support from the City of Fredericton were key contributors in the Fredericton Fastpitch Association’s winning bid” says Mike Branchaud, Manager of Canadian Championships for Softball Canada. “The U16 Boys event was last played in 2019 in Saskatoon with a total of 14 teams from 9 provinces. We anticipate another strong field in 2021 and we know each participant will really enjoy everything that Fredericton has to offer.” Fastpitch is alive and well in New Brunswick, and we look forward to the opportunity to continue to showcase fastpitch talent in the province.
