Softball Canada is pleased to announce that eight umpires have received their Level V certification in 2019.
The Canadian Women’s National team punched its ticket to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games with a 7-0 run-rule win over Brazil at the 2019 WBSC Softball Americas Qualifier
For Softball Canada members wishing to become a certified coach.
At the recent Softball Canada Congress a proposal to implement a one-year trial of these two new rules was discussed at several workshops and unanimously approved at the Annual General Meeting. This trial will be effective January 1, 2018!
Rawlings is the Official Softball of Softball New Brunswick.
Softball New Brunswick is instituting individual registration for minor fastpitch in 2020. This means that each minor player, and minor coach must sign up with Softball New Brunswick individually to be a registered member covered under our insurance policy. Our 2020 fees are outlined:

What is this fee covering (Individual Membership Benefits) :
· Comprehensive Insurance Coverage for all registered participants including: coaches, players, managers, clinicians, officials, league volunteers, Directors and Operators
· Access to all SNB Policies and Procedures regarding Ethics, Anti-Harassment and Zero Tolerance
· Access to Special Achievement Opportunities: Hall of Fame, Annual Awards, Scholarships
· Management of Provincial Championships Logistics: Schedule creation, booking umpires, administrative duties, etc.
· Access to Timbits Softball (resources) / Community Caravan Program
· Access to the Canpitch Program (introduces and develops the fundamental skills of windmill pitching to Canada’s children and youth.)
· Access to Other Softball NB Developmental Programs (Coaching Clinics, Scorekeeping Clinic, Skills Camps, High Performance Camps, etc.)

All clubs/teams must ensure their players and coaches have registered with SNB. A team that has unregistered members on it will risk that any insurance claim submitted will be VOID.
It is recommended that clubs/teams allow a spot to input ‘SNB registration ID’ on their own registration forms, OR include a link to the SNB Individual Registration Form at the end of the clubs registration form.
Clubs/Teams must then register their rosters with Softball New Brunswick
SNB Team Affiliation Fees are broken down as follows:
U6-U8 Teams: $20.00/Team
U10-U19 Teams: $40.00/Team

Softball NB fully supports and understands our members concerns and decisions to not play this summer due to COVID-19 and its major health/safety risks. Refunds must be requested before Wednesday, July 1st, 2020.
