At the recent Softball Canada Congress a proposal to implement a one-year trial of these two new rules was discussed at several workshops and unanimously approved at the Annual General Meeting. This trial will be effective January 1, 2018!

Softball New Brunswick (SNB) is currently seeking the services of a full-time Technical Director for a 1-year term (with possibility of renewal).
This position will report to the Executive Director. The ideal candidate will have a background in coaching and/or teaching/facilitation and/or playing softball and will take a lead role in the implementation of the Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) Plans from grassroots to high performance, as well as developmental and educational programs for coaches and athletes within the province. Along with leading the Provincial Team program, the Technical Director will participate (in conjunction with the Softball NB Coaching Coordinator) in the development process for coaches and course facilitators for the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). The candidate will work closely with the Executive Director and local associations to promote our key initiatives.
